PICA : 2016

PICA is a 30 sec animation of Picasso’s revolutionary approach to art under the influence of 6 extraordinary women. They are often featured in different periods of his career. Those women represented the complementing or opposing ideals that inspired Picasso’s revolutionary visual language. Within the lives of each woman were filled with love and sufferings which he manipulated in the service of his art. The animation questions whether his success and breakthroughs were owed to the women in his life. The treatment of video visually attempts to provokes your imagination, through its rhythm, echoing as a metaphor of Picasso’s art direction.
